J.B. was born and raised around Lehi, in the mountainous valleys of Utah. He had never dreamed of being a writer in his early life, being much more focused on his desires to enter the medical field. This changed in his junior year of college when his casual writing hobby became his passion.

After writing the beginning few chapters to his first novel, Imprisoned, J.B. asked some well-read acquaintances to sample what he had written and give some honest feedback. The many reactions he received all boiled down to one phrase: “Is there more?” This started his journey from casual hobbyist, to attentive author. J.B. has spent the subsequent years from that moment working on his craft and discovering his own unique voice in writing.

An avid reader all his life, J.B. is always looking for another great story to dive into. J.B. enjoys action, mystery and a fair amount of suspense in the novels he reads and includes those themes in his own writings. Science Fiction and Fantasy intrigue him the most and those themes are present in his endeavors. After all, why not write what you know?
